Gaiamatics Solutions is focused on the development of affordable high quality geomatics software solutions. By developing software products with this in mind, we aim to expand the geomatics industry by bringing GIS and Remote Sensing technologies to a larger audience. Gaiamatics Solutions' experience and versatility in developing geomatics applications means we can provide our customers with everything from general-purpose software to customized solutions.
The Team
Trevor Milne
President and Co-Founder. Trevor acts as lead programmer, scientific director, and technical supervisor on all Gaiamatics Solutions projects. In addition to his role at Gaiamatics, he is also a Remote Sensing faculty member at the highly recognized Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in Nova Scotia, Canada. Trevor has 17 years of industry programming experience, including 6 years of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) software development. While working with organizations such as the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS), Helical Systems Ltd. (as co-founder), the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), and the Canadian Centre of Remote Sensing (CCRS) he has developed software solutions for very large spatial data management, polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar, photogrammetry, and LiDAR.
Suzanne Monette
Director and Co-Founder. Suzanne is responsible for providing client services and manages all aspects of business and project administration at Gaiamatics. In addition to her role at Gaiamatics she's served as a Research Associate with the Nova Scotia Community College's (NSCC) Applied Geomatics Research Group (AGRG) on numerous projects since 2006. She has experience in the areas of GIS, remote sensing, administrative project management, proposal preparation and scientific research. Previously Suzanne worked with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Canadian Museum of Nature, and the University of Ottawa's Institute of the Environment. She holds an Honours B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Ottawa and post graduate diplomas in Integrated Resource Management and Advanced GIS from Sault College and Centre of Geographic Sciences respectively.
