ObliqueMapper™
ObliqueMapper is a tool for the collection of GIS layers from airborne and terrestrial photographs. Virtually any consumer- grade digital camera may be used to capture the images while low-end GPS (Code or WAAS) can be used to help establish their real-world coordinates (e.g. UTM, MTM, etc.).
Any objects visible within the photographs (e.g. buildings, streets, lamp posts, signs, etc.) can be easily and quickly digitized and exported to standard GIS and CAD compatible formats for easy incorporation into existing workflows.
Many photogrammetric software packages are often intricate and difficult to learn. ObliqueMapper offers a simple interface into this complex field and does not require extensive GIS or remote sensing training to be used effectively.
LiDAR Workbench™
With the continual improvements in LiDAR technology and data processing techniques, high resolution (~1 metre) Digital Elevation Models (DEM) are now becoming available for detailed GIS analysis such as hydrological modelling, urban management, and shoreline monitoring.
Gaiamatics Solutions is currently developing a stand-alone LiDAR processing software package, LiDAR Workbench, that allows the user to produce 2D and 3D GIS layers from LAS data files. Numerous tools within the product allow users to classify and grid their data both manually and through automation.
