ObliqueMapper™

Affordable & Simple Photogrammetric Mapping

Most photogrammetric mapping is performed using vertical photography, having the advantage of being easier to automate processing and combine the results with other GIS data. A downside of this type of photography is that it requires sophisticated expensive hardware and advanced training to capture and process the photographs.

Oblique photographs on the other hand have the advantage of being simple to capture, needing no specialized training by the pilot or acquisition team.

Although direct map products such as orthorectified photos are difficult to produce from oblique photographs, digitizing GIS layers from them is quite simple.

With ObliqueMapper users can photograph areas of interest with low-cost consumer grade digital cameras, save costly field time and generate GIS layers through straight forward digitizing. This versatile yet simple to use software does not require extensive GIS or remote sensing training to be used effectively.
